The system features two gradient UHPLC pumps for Eluent delivery:
The UHPLC  Pump P 8.1L with a HPG configuration is used for the analytcal run and offers a maximum delivery pressure of 124 MPa/1240 bar and a flow rate range of up to 5 ml/min for ultra-fast and high-resolution applications. The adaptive pulsation compensation of the pump is independent of flow rate, backpressure, and eluent type through real-time eluent compressibility monitoring and variable piston stroke. KNAUER’s advanced piston drive technology results in outstanding flow reproducibility at any working conditions. The pump features a 2-channel solvent selection valve and a degassing unit for each of the binary gradient flow paths for providing solvent flexibility and gas bubble protection. Every P 8.1L comes with a high-performance mixing chamber for low baseline noise. The integrated purge valve allows for automatic priming of the pump. 
The Pump P 6.1L with LPG configuration is used for backflushing the second column while the first runs your analysis. It applies technology to overcome the challenges of pumping LC solvents at high pressure and at a defined flow rate. The AZURA® quaternary pump contains one high pressure pump and an integrated LPG mixing block with a 4-channel inlet solvent selection valve and a low-dwell volume AZURA® mixer. The integrated degasser and AZURA® inline filter are completing this analytical AZURA® P 6.1L HPLC pump and turn it into a work horse in the lab. 
 
Sample Injection
The Liquid handler LH 8.1 is a flexible and modular XYZ - Autosampler. In this version, it has a 56 x 52 cm footprint and is equipped with a fast wash station for lowest carry over and a Robotic Cooler for storage of up to 390 samples in 1.5 ml vials at 4 - 40 °C.

Column thermostating
The Column thermostat CT 2.1 is suitable for column thermostatization above and below room temperature. The instrument operates with a microprocessor controlled Peltier element for exact temperature settings.


Column switching valve:
This special column switching and backflushing valve enables the user to operate one column while backflushing the other to remove matrix that has accumulated at the inlet. This intelligent switching valve operates at pressures of up to 1200 bar and is a vital component in automation processes.

Detection
This system can be coupled to any HPLC detector. Thanks to its fast analysis and high-throughput capabilities, it is the perfect match for coupling to an MS.
