The KNAUER AZURA® DAD 2.1L is a highly competitive diode array detector that combines high performance with user-friendly handling at an affordable price. It is equipped with a deuterium lamp that covers a wavelength range from 190 to 700 nm. A wide range of easily interchangeable cartridge flow cells with either bio-inert or stainless-steel wetted parts is offered, making the DAD 2.1L an ideal choice for fast, standard analytical, semi-preparative and preparative separations. State-of-the-art total reflection flow cells with LightGuide technology are available for this device. These flow cells provide maximum light throughput due to total internal reflection and minimal peak dispersion due to their small cell volume, ensuring an optimized signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio. An optional fiber optics adapter allows for spatial separation of the flow cell from the detector. This enhances safety during processes involving hazardous, explosive or toxic materials and protects the device from leakages at high flow rates.
The DAD 2.1L features a newly developed optical unit and intelligent temperature management, ensuring maximum sensitivity with minimal baseline drift. With easy frontal access and improved safety features, lamp replacement is effortless, facilitating maintenance and reducing downtimes.
The detector can be controlled with ClarityChrom®, OpenLAB®, Chromeleon™ and PurityChrom® software packages, as well as through the Mobile Control software for stand-alone operation. Connection via LAN or through analog input/output allows for seamless integration into nearly any LC system.
