The AZURA AS 8.1L is designed for analytical UHPLC applications, reliably withstanding pressures of up to 1,379 bar. Flexible sample handling is  supported by a range of vial configuration options. The autosampler features two multiwell plate positions, accommodating up to 768 samples in two microtiter plates or 108 × 1.5 ml vials. In addition, two more vial racks can be added with a total capacity of e.g.  24 × 1.5 ml or 6 × 10 ml. The extension loop enables injection volumes of up to 100 µl.

In the split-loop design, the sample needle aligns precisely with the needle seat, sealing the high-pressure flow path and integrating the sample directly into the mobile phase. This approach minimizes carryover and shortens cycle times, supporting efficient high throughput measurements. Because the needle is part of the system flow path, flushing is obsolete, preventing sample loss while maintaining high precision and excellent injection linearity. Sample usage efficiency can be further enhanced when using spring bottom conical inserts, enabling reproducible injections down to a remaining volume of just 0.5 µl.

Sample stability and reproducibility are maximized with the cool/heat option, which maintains the sa​mple compartment at a defined temperature between 4 and 40 °C.
