The valve drive AZURA® VU 4.1 Valve Unifier enables automatic valve operation. Due to the rapid switching, the flow path is only interrupted for a very short time and resulting pressure peaks are reduced to a minimum. V 4.1 valves are automatically identified via RFID technology, which guarantees an easy valve exchange. An additional feature is the easy monitoring of GLP data, which simplifies maintenance such as the exchange of a rotor seal. The display enables user-friendly standalone operation. In addition, the valve drive can be operated with software, via LAN or analog input/output, by which it can be integrated into nearly every LC system.
Valves perform many different tasks in liquid chromatography systems (HPLC). They act as flow switches and therewith control the direction of the flow in the HPLC system. Valves are indispensable for eluent selection, sample injection, column selection, fractionation, and switching tasks. KNAUER valves are also frequently used outside of HPLC - e.g. for dosing applications in the chemical industry.
